The Illinois Economic Development Partnership is a
Certified Community Development Entity (US Treasury) that provides
incentives to companies that are either creating jobs or investing
in a Low-Income Community. The incentives include a transferable US
tax credit equal to 39% of the investment being made. Additional
state tax credits of up to 70% of the investment may also be
available.
Our Governing Board includes the former
cabinet-level director of commerce for the State under two
governors. Our Technical Advisory Board includes the senior
executives for the Economic Development Corporations of Los Angeles
and New York, as well as the senior State of Florida business
recruitment executive. Also on our Governing and Advisory
Boards are senior executives with the National Hispanic Caucus of
State Legislators, the CEO of Sentry Financial, and numerous elected
and appointed officials in labor, HUD and other relevant
organizations.
